Maintaining Your Ceramic Floor
Ceramic tiles are durable, practical, and beautiful. They add beauty and character to any home. To keep them that way, you need to maintain your floor. Regular upkeep for ceramic tiles is actually quite easy. First, sweep the floor daily with a soft-bristled broom to remove most of the dirt. To save time, you can utilise a vacuum cleaner but do not use an attachment with a beater bar because this dulls and scratches the tiles. After sweeping the entire floor, run a damp mop on the tiles using the manufacturer’s recommended cleaner. You can also spot-clean the floor with a clean cloth or dampened sponge. Once in a while, apply a mild detergent or all-purpose cleaning solution on the tiles and scrub them using a soft brush. Rinse the residue with clean, warm water then wipe the floor dry to restore its shine. Finally, to further protect your ceramic floor, use carpets and floor mats on high traffic areas such as entrances or hallways. In addition, place protectors on the legs of your furniture to guard your floor against scratches and damage.
